its really just a conveniently shaped salt crystal i spotted under a microscope while me and my buddy were identifying phytoplankton from a sample we took the previous lab.

these labs are absolutely soul sucking when youre not on the field and for like 3 weeks we were just in class looking at samples for 5 hours straight ;o(( my eyes hurt just thinking about it
