The Tombs of Atuan Ursula K. LeGuin (1971)
genuinely this book drives me Insane every time i read it. the way this book just hooks me and makes me want to hurt myself and others(KIDDINGGGG) is like science at this point with its consistency. tenar is just so special to me as a character.. shes like a caged bird of sorts to me. a little dove. its extremely difficult for me to fully articulate what i want to say im just like AUGHHHH !!!!!!! THE AGONY!!!!!!!!!! i love this book everyone should read it (9/6/2026)
Suspiria (1977)
an italian horror film with some of the coolest visuals ever.. the use of setting and lighting just made the ballet school into this neat liminal space. it has one of the more iconic(in my mind) horror movie deaths ever also
theres this one moment where the heroine had ended up in the infirmary after fainting and when the nurse told her "well, youve got some color to your face now!" the heroine's face was lit up with a bright red light. i really liked that it was funny to me. ohh and the maggot scene was also super striking.
theres a lot i find myself liking on a whim here, but it ultimately is just a cool and campy movie and i think its worth anyones time
Electric Dreams (1984)
ok. this movie was weird as fuck actually and i think a lot of the key plot was actually straight shit from a butt HOWEVER i really liked it anyways. edgar was just so cute like they gave the computer bpd. wowza.
im a big robot/ai(in fiction)/machine guy like thats my secondary special interest. i used to have a shrine on this website that was just me reviewing different robots computers etc.. i think the visuals were really cool though. and i do actually love human league im big on new wave yk. the dialogue edgar has with miles is funny as shit and i like that in the end edgar would rather die than be bisexual #relatable
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
i love this movie but it is objectively boring as fuck. to an extent i understand how that is the point. like i read the book and i get it.. the crew is legit just on that spacecraft forever doing nothing but playing chess and probably exploring each others bodies. but fuck its still boring as hell. the opening is awesome i will admit. monkey monkey monkey OBELISK. monkey monkey monkey OBELISK.
i love the visuals and general cinematography for sure, i mean like come on its stanley kubrick, but it is a sort of movie only the most autistic can get through and enjoy nowadays. i mostly love it for hal9000 #iwishiwasamachine but i also do love the story and where it goes after 2001. i think there was a 2010 movie but i havent seen it yet yolo

took me forever to watch this but my boyfriend put it on one night and gahh its good as fuck. its so stylistically striking and gay and like comically horrifying. pretty much everything i love in a movie is here.

i read this on a virus filled website years ago and it was good af then and its good af now. i love surreal gore-ridden horror and i also love a good found family trope. beni and howcuttle are just so cute to me like aww look ah him hes an unfit father awwww
